Georges Meunier (1869–1942) was a prominent French poster artist and illustrator who captured the effervescent spirit of Paris during the late 19th century.

 

Современник Жюля Шере, Менье прославился благодаря своему умению наполнять коммерческое искусство ощущением радости и движения. Его стиль отличается мягкой пастельной гаммой и причудливым подходом к повседневным сюжетам, в которых часто фигурируют элегантные парижские персонажи, запечатленные в моменты отдыха или восторга.

Будь то реклама железнодорожных компаний или популярных ликеров, работы Менье отличались легкостью и шармом, отходя от жестких линий традиционного академического искусства в сторону более плавной, импрессионистской эстетики. Сегодня его литографии считаются важнейшими артефактами Belle Époque, символизирующими время мира, процветания и художественных инноваций.
